I know that with the knowledge rich world we live in the best way to change these views is to use technology efficiently in the classroom. Technology is a tremendous resource for teachers to use. With the help of technology the classroom is open to a number of texts and a variety of genres. Not only can it open the student’s horizons, but it helps them in areas that they may struggle with, while reading. There are so many resources technology offers -- many of which haven’t been tapped by teachers yet.
I have learned that in order to fully engage students to teach a lesson, it is helpful for the classroom to have as few distractions and behavioral issues as possible. A major resource in this era is technology. Technology in the classroom can be a huge benefit if used properly.
I have used VoiceThread, iMovie, Movie Maker, flip cameras, the internet, iPods, and iPads.
I enjoy using sites like Penzu, Xtranormal, Facebook, Gmail, and much more.
There are many online tools that I think would be beneficial in the classroom, but I think there should be a balance when it comes to how much technology should be used.
